     Hi, my name is Matt Martin, I am a Registered Engineer in the State of Alabama working as a sole proprietor performing site evaluations and percolation test (perc test) for onsite sewage systems in Tuscaloosa, Pickens, Fayette, and Lamar counties in Alabama. If you live in these areas or nearby and are planning on purchasing property for a residential home, church, or business that does not have access to city sewer you will need to have a site evaluation/percolation test (perc test) performed in order to receive a permit from the local county health department to have an onsite sewage treatment system installed.

     Also, if you have an existing septic system that has failed, you possibly will need a permit from the health department in order to have the system repaired.
